I took all these pics during a trip to Perth late last year (except for Train photo). I would love some feedback on the photos! Do you think I could improve on them? If so how? The picture titled Morning Crane is my favorite and I would like to enter it in the Wimmera photo competition, under B/W Solitude section. What do you think, does it make the grade?

A Photoshop Elements Evening

Tuesday 30th January 7 pm @ the Highland Society

Bring you’re your own PC (laptop preferred for your backs sake) and Photoshop Elements Software to join our PhotoShop Workshop. It might also assist you if you bring along your own extension cable and double adaptors etc.

The idea will be to work together to unravel some intricacies of this marvellous editing software. We are hoping this will become a regular (once per month) evening for our members, giving us a chance to come together to work specifically in the area of digital imagery away from our usual membership nights.

If you think dragging your PC over to Highland Society is too difficult, or a Monday is not a good evening please let Nola or Narelle know.

Junior Photography Outing

Sunday 11 February 2pm until 5pm @ Phillips Gardens

The idea is to give our younger members a chance to get together to practice their craft, and maybe learn a little something from us older members (mind you, it be the other way around!). Volunteers will be needed to assist and of course we need at least a few younger members or prospective member. If you are interested in coming along please let Nola or Narelle know, or come along to our next meeting February the 7th.

I would just like to explain for non members what our monthly challenge is. Each month we have a subject which is to try and get people to take photos that are different to what they would normally take. They are not judged. Competitions can be costly by the time you get prints and matting done. So give it a go. This is an ideal subject for our juniors. Thanks narelle

On Sunday Nola and Adrian attended the Wimmer Inter club held at Stawell
This event involved Horsham, Nhill , Stawell and the goldfields Image makers.
A workshop was held on presenting and creating audio visuals.

Overall the club performed well coming second in the Color Tally and third overall.
